Where the bullying was oberved? Glee, Episode - Never Been Kissed
Who was involved? Puck and students in juvenile hall with him.
What happened? Puck, who is usually the bad boy, bullying others, was intimidated greatly by his fellow juvenile detention inmates. In order to avoid it, he agreed to do community serfice.
How do you think the person who wrote the scene wanted to make you feel? I think it was supposed to be somewhat comical, but also supposed to let you see a softer side of a character who is usually rough.
Was this realistic? I’m sure there is a lot of physical bullying in detention centers for youths.
Do you think this fictional portrayal of bullying was positive or negative for preventing bullying? I think it was negative because the bullying ended up having a positive result, which was Puck changing. Although that might be realistic, it enforces the idea that a bully just needs to be threatened, which can have negative consequences.
